Munir Uddin Siddiqui has worked for over 4 decades in the power generation field at K-Electric. He has also worked in the USA in the same field where he was provided exposure to not only operations & maintenance procedures but also manufacturing practices of boilers, turbines, generators, transformers, and balance of plant equipment.
Munir executed generation projects worth US$ one billion, adding 840 MW to the system. Capacity restoration and efficiency improvement is his favorite field of engineering. He has conducted many feasibility studies with M/s. TEPSCO, EDF/SOGELERG, BBC, and JICA to rehabilitate inefficient units with efficient generating sets. He is a graduate mechanical engineer from NED Engineering College, Karachi, and a Life Member of the Pakistan Engineering Council.
